Making a start on the engines. Just thinner with a hint of colour. Mmmm, started melting the varnish.

Hi Glen. Welcome aboard.

Looks like a nice kit, if a bit old now. Some nice included add-ons; standing pilot, access ladder, intake covers and wheel chocks all included! Main concern are the rather shallow panel lines. Will stick a few pics up later on.

Following!
Zvezda tool, Mike? I think it's not very clear on the SM timeline.

I guess it could be from the Zvezda tool Cuajete. I am not sure how that works. Do Zvezda make em and then sell em to Revell ? The pressing is pretty good quality given the price bracket.

Yea i'm pretty sure it's the Zvezda tool. If not it would be the Hasegawa one either way it should be a good kit! Look close at the sprue it will say if it's Hasegawa or Zvezda somewhere! Revell re-boxes both brands along with a few Special Hobby items (as well as other brands too) they have done this for years.

Hi Glenn. It looks like they have cut off all the tabs on the sprues so cant be sure.

Just umming and ahhing over which scheme.

Heres a really nice build of the 'blue' scheme.

But then again the 'B' scheme is also very nice;

Might be some aftermarket schemes for this not sure? I try and find some with interesting nose/tailart if i can! But i prefer the "bluer" one if i was choosing!

I have the Zvezda one and I can asure it is the same tool. I got the begemot decals of demo flankers. Several interesting schemes.
