I have decided to start this project and leave the GMC Coca Cola truck for a while, I just grew frustrated with all the cleaning I had to do on the parts. Will focus on an easier project, I mean you can just tell how much better the quality is with Revell kits than with AMT kits. All parts have been cleaned already, will start priming the parts today.

I've already ordered the paint from Splash Paints and will probably arrive by next week.

To Do List,

1. Look into which paints I need to purchase.
2. Sand mould lines on the body.
3. Scribe the body.
4. Prime all parts.
5. Paint the parts their corresponding color.
6. Apply secondary color to the parts.
7. Apply tertiary color to the parts.
8. Paint the body.
9. Clear the body.
10. Detail the interior.
11. Purchase new stock of inventory.
12. Polish the body.
13. Apply necessary decals.

I started priming the parts but I ran out of surfacer primer. I have already ordered more from Hobbylinc in addition with the paints that I need to complete the kit, I have white surfacer primer, but I don't know if the difference in color might affect the finished product, I'll just wait. In the meantime I'm going to scribe the body lines and prime the interior and interior parts as well as the body and body parts with Splash Paints 2K primer.

List of completed items,

1. Look into which paints I need to purchase.
2. Sand mould lines on the body.
3. Purchase new stock of inventory.
4. Figure out the order of painting for the parts.

To Do List,

1. Scribe the body.
2. Prime all parts.
3. Paint the parts their corresponding color.
4. Apply secondary color to the parts.
5. Apply tertiary color to the parts.
6. Paint the body.
7 . Clear the body.
8. Detail the interior.
9. Polish the body.
10. Apply necessary decals.

The body has been scribed and the body and interior parts have been primed with 2K primer. The color or paint that I will be using for the body will be arriving today, I'm aiming on painting the car this weekend depending on weather conditions.

Updated To Do List,

1. Prime all parts.
2. Paint the parts their corresponding color.
3. Apply secondary color to the parts.
4. Apply tertiary color to the parts.
5. Paint the body.
6. Clear the body.
7. Detail the interior.
8. Polish the body.
9. Apply necessary decals.

Next steps would be to sand the body with 2000 grit to get it ready for painting. I'm on hold on painting all other parts besides the body because I ran out of primer, I'll be receiving the order next week probably. In the meantime I'm going to see which parts I can starts airbrushing.

All of the interior parts have been painted, I used Upholstery Desert Tan from Splash Paints for the color. I have to say, the paint lays on beautifully, 25 psi, .3 needle, pretty much the paint does all the work. But, maybe is me but the color looks too orange/yellow when painted on a light base, I think this color would benefit more from a darker base than a light base like it says on the manufacturer's website. This is just my personal opinion, what I'm not liking might someone's perfect choice.

Moving on, the interior has been painted, it took me three coats to have good coverage, I'll be inspecting the parts tonight to check for any imperfections on the paint. My order from Hobbylinc is still being processed, so I'm not expecting my order for the primer anytime soon, I will paint the body and body parts this weekend, but first I have to fix the imperfections the primer revealed on the body, like scratches and uneven surfaces, even a mold line I did not see when I first sanded the car.

Did not paint the body over the weekend but I did fix the imperfections on the body, I need to re-prime the body before I paint it. On a good note, my order from Hobbylinc will arrive on Thursday, I'll be able to finish priming the parts and start painting them. In the meantime I can start detailing the interior such as the dashboard.

I will make an effort to start uploading photos of the progress on the car.

Just a quick thought, I'm taking about stripping the paint from all interior parts, paint a darker color base and then paint the interior color I have. I'm just not loving the color of the interior parts as they are right now, they look way to yellow, almost a mustard color. I'm going to do test spoons and use several different bases to see which color I like the best.
