Christian WOne question I'm asking myself: do I want to build the RHD option? That would be pretty cool but it won't fit into my project of the Silver Corvette Collection. Good, that I have this kit twice. So I can build one silver and the other one in another color with RHD and fitting license plate.

Roland SachsenhoferI hum Hans Albers all the time: 'Flyer, greet me the sun, greet me the stars and ....' The reason: the two Junkers F.13s were finished today! I'll show you the results in two galleries attached to this project. The F-13 'Annelise', in its original form an altitude record machine from 1919 and semi-legal 'Moscow Flyer' can be seen here first. The construction is not for the faint-hearted and perfection in the final result is not to be found here. But as the saying goes: ' Greet me the sun, the stars and the moon.... ' 🙂

Roland SachsenhoferThank you very much for your motivating feedback! I am really pleased that you like it! Indeed, 'Economy' and 'Business class' for pilots and passengers! The two pilots were actually sitting outside, exposed to the airflow, the cold and also to whatever the BMW or Jumo was emitting!

SkyhikerWhat does that aqueous black surfacer 1000 thin down with? Isn't aqueous a water based paint? Does it work well as a primer or does it peel off like the acrylic "primers"?

S MI haven't tried to thin it with water although it is promised to work. I could airbrush mr.surfacer 1000 without thinning with my old 0,4mm needle airbrush, but in case I want to thin it I use Mr.Hobby Color Thinner 400 (turqoise colored bottle). I think this works very well as a primer. It sticks and it can be smoothed with sand paper.

AlbertoNice work so far, watching! I also use aqueous black surfacer. I thin it 50% with Tamiya's X20A, spray it with a 0.4 mm needle at 15-17 psi. It works a treat.

SkyhikerThanks for the info on the surfacer. I'm looking for alternatives to using heavy chemicals, and hopefully this will be an answer.
