Actually going to build this one up as showroom-new, along with the companion trucks that will follow... always more of a challenge, as one can hide a lot with weathering!

Powertrain went together pretty easy, as expected. Next I'll start on the frame... hopefully among everything else I have going on at the moment, I can still have a rolling chassis done by the new year.

I'll take a seat as well. Nice job on the engine!
Where do you get all your wiring and plumbing info from? I'm trying to find some for a Fruehauf trailer, but either I'm using the wrong words or there isn't much out there.

Yes, some good stuff there. For the most part, my references come from my experience working around trucks with quite a bit of googling to fill in the gaps.

I try Brandon. Unfortunately, our stuff is very different from your American stuff. So I try to get as many reference pictures, as I can, when I'm stateside.

Excellent progress mate! Gives me fond memories of doing my Transtar Eagle 2. A very similar kit, but the plumbing is slightly different for the exhaust and air cleaner.

Thanks Bozzer!
Ah yes, I always did prefer the square headlight bezels on that one... here's to hoping that kit makes a return someday as well

Rolling chassis is now complete - the rest of the truck should be done in short order, given how nicely this kit has gone together thus far

Excellent! It does not have paint edge flaws anywhere. It looks as precise as a computer rendering.

Thanks Jennifer and Bill.
It's a very well designed kit - all new tooling and the parts come out clean and crisp. Honestly, you just need to shake the box up a few times and a finished truck will fall out.
That's probably why the paint still looks good too - bumps and scratches tend to happen when fiddling with ill fitting parts.

Forward progress continues... can I have it finished in time for the show this weekend? I guess we're gonna find out

Brandon, I love that dashboard, but your attention to detail is amazing!
What did it for me, was the power lead and antenna lead, disappearing into the headlining of the cab!
I can see another trophy coming! 🎯💥🏆🏆🏆

The back of the seats won't be visible?
Your work is incredible, as usual!

István, unfortunately you can't see much of the inside, but we know that it's there, and done in fine style. I guess that it's possible to open up the doors, but with the timescale that Brandon has, I believe that he's already excelled himself? In fact, he just keeps getting better, the lucky bugger! 😉

Thanks guys! No time for opening the doors up on this one...
I did manage to complete it in time for the 4M show, and was able to take home a silver medal.

Silver? Man, that must've been tough competition, you were up against!
Congratulations on another win, my friend. Extremely well deserved!!
Lol, I bet that the paint was still drying, as you collected your medal 😉

Q: Re. the shiny metal bands around the two fuel tanks. What aftermarket parts are these, or, what material? Steel? Chrome painted brass? Chrome painted styrene?

Hi Treehugger, those bands were part of the photoetch set I used from Czech Truck Model (all chrome plated brass)
