Egg Albatros D.Va - 3D print
Almost all parts for the normal version.
the gap is finally very small. 🙂
some details
the Daimler DIII engine
The parts for the striped edition.
I started with colour
The upper wing in comparison with the old version.
The print quality is amazing! The anemometer is approx 5.5mm in high.
The new spoke wheels, a normal covered version is also available.
The comparison of the new and old version from the instruments on the left side.
The control panel, yu can almost read the labelling.
All together...
No clue, just some tape to stabilize the model.
the compass with the decal
the control panel
the engine and prob with decals
dirty engine
the Lozenge decals, there are still issues to solve
decals on the hull and other parts
I forget this picture. 🙂
The interior is finished and ready for installation in the fuselage halves.
The next and complicated step, the rigging. I made roundabout 60 hooks and eyes from 0.1 wire and 0.5 alu tube. For the eyes, I used a 0.25 needle.
For the bracing wire, I used 0.1 fishing line and maybe 90 pieces of an alu tube.
left side is finish
To relax my nerves, I quickly painted my test bunny. 🙂
the final prototype is ready 🙂
I made a little bunny pilot.
A small comparison between the very first version and the final version.
You can see the differences clearly.

Not only sweet, but you was also able to bring all those specifics of an Albatros into the egg 👍

Album info
My long-term project, the Albatros D.Va as an eggplane, is nearing completion. The last fitting problems have been resolved and the settings for the 3D printer are now also correct.
I am currently assembling the last prototype for the normal version.
I would like to show you the pictures here.
