Upper hull glued on
Turret sub assemblies built and painting begun on turret interior
Most small fittings added to rear
Pioneer tools from spares bin added… Italeri neglected to include these items
Test fitting of all items… Kit wheels will be replaced with resin AM tires
Mig Ammo texture paste added to upper surface
Second coat of Mig Ammo Non Slip paste added
Close up of non slip texture paste
Close up of hatches non slip areas
Tamiya CARC/NATO Green on out surfaces of hatches
Top deck under a coat of paint
Painting next stage of turret interior
muffler & exhaust modified to proper configuration, shovel added below
antenna mount shelf modified and tow cable added
almost there...
Testing out AK Paint Markers on stowage items
Third color added to stowage items
Scratch built jerry can shelves and AM jerry cans added
Final missing bits added to hull right side
Gun painted and test fitted, turret mostly painted awaiting final bits
Added tail light brush guards and created side step from .020 music wire
Added brass screen onto engine deck grills and headlights

CaptGPFLooks interesting. My only question is - did the US ever produce any of these AA LAVs?

Capt, the US did indeed produce and field a handful of LAV-ADs. Roughly enough for one platoon in each LAR battalion. They were withdrawn from service in the early 2000's after having seen use in OIF1. I suspect that in todays renewed air threat environment, the decision to remove the system from service is seen as shortsighted.
