Tachikawa Ki-162-III Sanshoouo-Kai-San
Thanks to my He 162A11 -project, I had an extra BMW-engine just for this purpose.
Engines joined.
For the engines to fit better, the fuselage must be widened 2mm. The landing gear bay is therefore sawn in half.
The bigger aircraft needs bigger wings. The easiest way was to cut the Lippisch Ohren off and extend the wing tip.
Lots of sanding, smoothing and scribing.
There is two 1mm thick styrene sheet between fuselage halves.
Fuselage forced together.
A new canopy needed to be done. I made a model of the canopy from Super Sculpey.
Cockpit is done. Because it is a Japanese plane, the cockpit isn't RLM66 but green.
Bigger elevator was left over from Dragon's kit.
Painting started. Just basic Vallejo's PU-primers.
