Sepecat Jaguar GR1 'Desert Cat'
3D Printed ducts and fans for my upcoming F-100C and Sepecat Jaguar GR1
Excellent fit :-D
Seat looks decent enough and right dimensions to take the photo etch
Made a small cutout under the HUD box to slide the PE under so I can retain that box
Drilled out the muzzle and put in some drilled out tubes as barrels
Gaps, flash and what not... ??♂️
Bottom 'detail' ... (whát detail?)
There's even parts missing (!) Had to dive into the spares box to find a decent matching oleo...
Fitting the printed intake ducts
Painted and assembled trunk
And that's how it will look when the intakes are finished
Front bit in focus... ?
It's got legs! 🙂
Scratchbuilding some more detail on the rear bulkhead with a canopy support, made from some spares box bits
Canopy gets a frame which nicely fits onto the makeshift canopy mechanism
Cleaning up all the small bits for paint preperation
More fidly bits for the cockpit
Almost everything needs to be modded or replaced in this HELLer kit... New pitot tube versus the kit broomstick
The only PE that's going in for now, the rest is for after the overall paintjob
Made the boundary layer fences by cutting and filing flat the overwing launchers
Ready for primer! (And see if it looks acceptable) :-P
Looks OK so far
Aaaand....finished 🙂 (well kinda)
Cockpit turned out nice
Eduard PE sets always spice it up nicely
Well..... about those missing nozzles... :-P
I ordered a ResKit set of nozzles, but these still have to arrive :')

Looking like a tough desert cat
Straight from the source in Ukraine
Nozzles are in... now find time to build them 😉 and finish this bird
Finally also built the nozzles :-D
Fuselage sustained some damage while widening the holes, but nothing you'll be able to see anymore 🙂
Anyhow: this bird is finally finished and has been some upgrade from the basic Heller kit

Excellent subject from a not so excellent kit, but then again I haven't attempted my Kittyhawk Jaguar yet. Will be watching this one..

The Kittyhawk kit is indeed much better. Enjoy building that one. Also operation Granby scheme?
I'm gonna put mine on hold until these arrive: reskit-models.com/in..49&search=jaguar
The kit nozzles are downright unusable (they don't even fit properly! 😂)

Most definitely will be doing the Kittyhawk in a Granby scheme. I might get those nozzles as well.

Still waiting for the resin nozzles, but otherwise finished... 🙂
Additionally to the aftermarket sets, I've so far scratch built and/or raided from the spares box:
-Intake trunks & turbine fans : 3D printed
-Dorsal and wingtip navigation lights
-Some wiring and extra detailing in the wheel wells
-Canopy lift mechanism and inner frame
-Boundary layer fences: butchered from the overwing pylons
-Pitot tube
-Main gear door pull rods
-Stores stabilizer brackets (are these called this way?) on the free hardpoints
-Got low-vis roundel decals from a Tornado kit
The Heller kit itself is very poor...everything about it, even the decals. I'd say avoid it, unless you want a real challenge :-P

Poor kit or not, you certainly brought it to its full potential! Can't wait to see the finished build with the cans. 😀

Nice job making a silk purse out of a sow's ear! Now, when will we get to see that F-100? 😉
