2021-2: Hobby Room Renovation Part 4 -what to do with those bookcases?

I had some leftover 12" melamine, so I had Gord rip the pieces into 6" widths, and built a bookshelf by the doorway, to hold DVD's and paperbacks. Painted it yellow ('cause I could!) 

I displaced a lot of my paperback collection to renovate the hobby room, but I still had a space by my workbench, It occurred to me that if I got Gord to rip the 12" shelves and risers I could make two sets of 6" bookcases, and mount them one in front of the other using my left over piano hinges. Gord took the boards to his workshop and ripped them for me. 

The completed bookcases. Now the paperbacks are only one deep, so I just swing out the book case, rather than having to move a whole bunch of books to see what's behind. Perfeck! Here is the new bookcase closed 

...and opened. I had a couple of casters that I attached to the swing out shelves. the back shelves rest on the foundation ledge, and the front shelves casters rest on the ground 

Of course, no self-respecting man-cave is complete without the ubiquitous beer fridge, microwave, and coffee pot! 

Oh yeah, and an entertainment center. I replaced the 42" TV with a 55", when we purchased a new 65" Smart TV for the living room in 2021 Under the TV is the lazy susan / entertainment shelf.
 

The aircraft display cases were barely 30% full after the build in 2021. I thought it would take at least a decade to fill them up. Just three years later, and it's starting to look full. I'm sure I'm going to run out of space before then end of this decade. 

on the S.F. side it's even worse, because the models are much bigger, which means fewer per shelf, and fewer shelves. I know I have more models than shelf space. Might have to steal some space from Janet (yeah, right - like THAT'S going to happen!)
