1940 Coca Cola Ford Coupe
コメント
Thank you Bob Hall, Villers de Vos and Neuling. Back when I built this in 2015 there was not a lot of Coca-Cola items, but now with the re-pops there is a good selection at my local hobby shop, but I have moved on. It was fun to do this in the yellow instead of the traditional Coca-Cola red. I heard a story when back in the day, the head of Coca-Cola carried a sample of THE Coca-Cola red and made sure that everywhere in the world the right red was being used. As I model builder, I am more into representation than recreation and pick colors that seem reasonable.
Album info
Over 540,000 Ford coupes were originally produced for the 1940 model year. Today, the car's classic "fat-fendered" styling has made it a hit with modern street rod builders. The '40 Ford Coupe still has the famous Flathead V-8 under the hood, and the lowered suspension will grab the attention of any street rod fanatic. This is an amazing kit. It can be built stock with a flathead Ford '60 V-8, custom with an overhead valve Buick V-8 or Street Machine with a Super Charged Buick V-8. Either way you get to build two complete engines and the extra engine can be displayed alongside your model on the engine stand. I like the bucket seats, rollbar, 3 Stromberg two-barrel carburetors, GoodYear tires and CHROME! Enjoy the pictures because I sure enjoyed building this model.
