Very nice Jaguar, Brian!👍
The aircraft never would win a beauty competition but your model is pretty cool.😎

Hi Eelco, it is a re-boxed old Airfix tooled kit, and the tooling has seen better days. Every part was heavy with flash, and the panel lines on the underside disappeared in places. I re-scribed most of the lines myself. I did enjoy making this though, and Eduard's photo-etch set helped out a lot! The decals were horrible, and wanted to silver despite using microset and microsol. I found that tamiya acrylic thinner X20A worked well with them though; a trick I continue to use!

Looks very nice! Everyone might know this but there is an ex Colitishal Jag on permanent display at County Hall, Norwich in Norfolk fully accessible to the Public and a great example of this aircraft- so if you in area worth a look.

I'll have to have make a detour next time I make a journey in that direction. Cheers Michael.

Hi Brian, which paint brand and numbers have you used for the wrap around camouflage? Best regards Joshua

I recognize all the problems you mention Brian during the build, I built the same kit years ago. I didn't know this kit was an old Airfix rebox?! In any case, it is a shame that there are few manufacturers who release the Jag, it is a beautiful bird!
