MiG-19PM -
In a kit consisting of the missing Resin cockpit tub, so I built with a plastic itself. The lack of this seat comes from my stash.
For the blowing stations are the etchpart the burner rings available. Unfortunately, the plastic part is in scope too far, and so does not fit in the trunk. Here's hip grind.
Lead bullets from the fishing equipment is to prevent later tailsitting. Meanwhile the cockpit tub was installed, but here diverse adaptation work was necessary.
As the "S" equipped a shorter fuselage and the blowing plant inlet without radar, the corresponding parts have been cut by sawing.
Since the "PM" had no cannons that parts were removed at the wing roots.
In addition, it should appear in the landing state. Therefore, all valves were sawn.
The sawing going on. The rear part of the canopy was sawn off, as this is an integral part of the hull and was also placed there.
Furthermore, the horizontal stabilizers were divided. There are pendulum tail, these were also completely isolated.
Since I had just black paint in the airbrush, I took the opportunity, the two jets times precoat to make possible flaws visible.
In addition, the flying version to get a pilot. This is made from resin and has been slightly adapted to fit into the narrow cockpit. was complemented the straps from the etchparts. He can run no longer, unfortunately, he does not have to also. Nothing is
Despite his lopsided grin, the pilot did not equal the cockpit. But the pressure of the government he could not be challenged.
Only the red ejector seat strap on top and a small glass panel in the cockpit and there you go. For heating the pulpit was also worried.
Pulpit it, so he does not get drafts. Now taping begins.
For the other pulpit, which should be shown open, the rear panel with heating cable (?) Was scratched.
After the pulpits have been treated with Colorstop, the actual painting can start.
All the rudders and flaps were added.
The MiG's were painted with aluminum color. As a small test for the PM the aluminum color 27002 from Humbrol and the S with ModelMaster II used.
The latter gives a better picture and can be painted better. However, it is also more susceptible to grip.
After mounting the decals of Tom's model building,
the small aps and the pylons were built.
