My sanding apparatus for vacuform parts.

Something this size will only work for smaller parts. For larger parts it is recommended to get tempered glass.

Vacuform parts generally cleaned up.

Why, Airmodel, did you short the wingspan AND THEN stick barrage-ballon size wingtip tanks on this kit of yours?!? The tip tank in this photo has been ground down considerably, so it is at least close to the diameter it should be but it still needs to be

After this I certainly will have a renewed appreciation for the TamHasFujiTrumpMeng kits!! LOL

Got some reinforcement strips in & some backing for what will be Milliput intakes done before commencement of Turkey Day! Started to attempt some intake ducting, then I finally had a sane moment and decided to just hide them with a F.O.D. cover!

you often see very different approaches on these, like most make the edges black or a different color, cut them close to the borders and then sand em flush on a large sheet of grinding paper. Here you seem to have cut most of the "flesh" off, how do you keep track of the sanding, or is that just, dryfitting, dryfitting and more dryfitting...

I tried to "score" along the part at an angle to minimize sanding. I have not started the sanding part yet but I have set up my 'Sanding Board' - a 5 inch x 7 inch piece of cheap photo frame glass, with the edges taped, that has itself been taped to a small plastic cutting board. On the glass I have used Rubber Cement to affix a sheet of 280 grit wet & dry sanding film. I will post a photo when it dries - the whole thing is under several large books so that it dries flat. 🙂

will you also do a total rescibing of this model? or will you leave the panellines as they are?

Not all. But most, since I have to do some major seam filling anyway.
