Well done. Very nice work Marco
@Spanjaard: It's a lifeboat used for air-sea rescue duties. It would be dropped in the water near survivors.

Great built, and a wonderful subject too. I like the subtle weathering, it just gives the right feel to it. Very well done!

Thank you all for your kind comments!
Spanjaard, as Paulo Almeida wrote, it was a life boat, that equipped the search& rescue version of the flying fortress (SB-17)! If I'm not mistaken, you can find a photo of one of such boats being deployed (USAAF aircraft) on the Warbirdtech book on the B-17 (I can be wrong, but I clearly remember seeing such photo during my research for the build).
Cheers

Supurb job. This is a uncommon scheme that modelers do. It's unique. I like it.

Great work on this unusual B-17!....this is in the stash for when the B-17 urge arrives....did you find photos that show the strong coloring at the engines on the wings underside?

@Lochsa River, I did not find photo of Portuguese B-17Gs in flight, where we could see its underside, but there are plenty of evidence for heavy exhaust stains, mainly on the inner engines. Very used machines will show exhaust stains on all 4 engines, as can be seen in this article nationalww2museum.or..b-17-flying-fortress
