Album info
My late grandfather served as a radio operator on U2518 (Type XXI, no war patrols) between November '44 and May '45. Until his death a few years ago he still spoke about his experiences (...good and bad) in the German submarine force. You could always feel his relief to have survived, his sadness about friends who just perished never to be seen again AND about all the brave souls, from both sides that is, lost at sea in a insane struggle for power and world domination.
This is in dedicateion to my grandfather and all those who never made it home!
