Oscar Progress
Most of the small parts are finished. A bit of unpainted PE was added and painted to both the engine and cockpit/instruments.
Riveting done.
Small modifications. I used the dremel to further pronounce the opening of the exhausts. I also took a razor saw to the engine cowl and cut out the exhaust flaps.
Preshading done.
Underside is Mr.Color C128. Blue/green is Mr.Color H63.
Green is Mr.Color C129.
Masking for the mat black. Anti-Glare?!
Black is Mr.Color H12.
Decals are on. I removed the canopy to paint it green after painting the matt black.
Decals and gloss coat. Propeller blades is Mr.Color SM01.
It is finished!
It is a small plane, even compared to the Zero.
Double Nakajima! 😉

First progress pictures of the Oscar build. I've done most of the detail work already. Next will be base camo.

Count me in... Japanese Birds are my favourites... And if you build one... I have to watch.

Wow that escalated quickly 🙂 Well done.. Superb looking early Oscar.. The weathering and altering is abolute my cup of tea.... Not too much "effect" painting and the dust and smoke and chipping in the right dose. Although it looks quite unworn for a Japanese Plane. But this is the right thing. The army planes did not look that Battered like the Navy planes. Especially in the early war and pre war campaigns.

Thanks Daniel, Erik and Sören! I'm happy that you like it!
I try to keep the weathering to the minimum.
@Sören, some day I will do the rigging on all my planes. I just need to get hold of some EZ-line or something similar. It will be a whole lot of work..😉
