"Too thick paint" issue won't get solved by using the airbrush only. Select the type of paint to be airbrushed carefully. I solved this issue after a year of trying different brands - for me the lacquer based paint turned out the best, but I propose to take time and test at least few. Then you'll know what suits you best, without collecting too many useless paint bottles (like me).
