Nice detailing and surface effects. 🙂 I keep being surprised by old military stuff I had never seen before.

A beautiful piece of artillery. You built it with great care and sophistication - as usual.

Thanks guys! The kit is excellent. Normally have to scratch build the equilibrators and airbrake lines; but, not this time. I often have to model the big guns with the breech closed because the detail is poor; but, AFV Club did a nice job on the stepped interrupted thread breech details so the breech is open to show off the details. The only things lacking in the kit are PE data plates and brackets.

I wrote a build review on the kit. It should be up on Armorama in a couple of days. I'll post a link here when it is live.

AFV Club 8-Inch Howitzer M1 in WW2. Completed out-of-the-box as a review for AFV Club to coincide with the release of the kit. Review will be published on Armorama. This is a great kit and was fun to build. I haven't done anything out of the box since picking the hobby up again after retirement.
