1980s Truck Fleet restorations
The Before - The fleet lined up for review. They look so much better in the picture than in real life, 33 years of aging since they were built, and 20+ years of loft grime.
Miraculously intact considering their life for the last 33 years. I have found the vast majority of the missing parts in my spares box.
The Wrecker back is from an Italieri Scania, the part Built frame of which will join this project, and be reunited with the Wrecker back
Unsurprisingly, mainly wheels, Mirrors & mudguards have fallen off across the years, I actually have extra parts as I found a double chrome sprue in one of the original kits.
roofs removed to show my Garish 1980s tastes in decor. Amazingly all the doors are still attached and openable.
closer view shows 33 years of grime, the white peterbilt actually looks a lot like real world wear and tear.

That is a beautiful lineup of trucks. Great skills! Even for 30 years of aging and recent restoration, fantastic!

Now that I look even closer, I do see parts laying on the table in need of glue. So to reterm what I said, Great skills for 30 years of aging, I look forward to the restoration. Still beautiful pre-op 😄

I still get a kick out of looking at these. How's the restoration coming along?

Sadly stalled for the last 3 years, a job change and becoming full time home based working means my room is now my office full time, and is getting a touch crowded. However, it does mean my recent purchase of a pair of 3D printers are employed 24/7 printing my newly designed modeller's toolbox system.

I've literally just picked up the K100 Oriental Express. Looking forward to building it and putting it on my shelf. It's going to be a while though, because I've got a huge backlog to try and get finished.

Good luck on your restorations.
I wish I still had my childhood builds. I had about 6-7 tractor-trailer rigs in the mid 70's. I joined the Navy and nothing survived my Dad and Stepmoms divorce and consequent moves.
