Completed JSU-122S
Modifications made to kit parts to accept the Aber barrel.
Turret with Aber barrel installed. Two-part epoxy (green) added to simulate weld beads. Grey putty (Tamiya grey) added to mantlet and commander's cupola to enhance casting texture.
Hull finished assembly and PE. Two-part epoxy (green) added to simulate weld beads. Grey putty (Tamiya grey) to enhance casting texture.
Hull base costed with Real Colors RC073 Soviet 4BO.
Turret base costed with Real Colors RC073 Soviet 4BO.
Cutting wire for fruil tracks. Hold wire to edge of stop block and cut at edge of ruler. Cut 280 16mm wire in 30 min.
Fruil tracks blackened with JAX Black (first time with this product).
Finishing complete and ready for final assembly. The turret number was painted on with DN masks.

Is this this tge 2020 rebooting with updated parts, ie tge sponson area has been updated as to not have light show through?

Rick402: The light does come through on this model. I built a 2020 JSU122 and that had the open sponson also.

Thanks; I was going to fix that gap also however as I dry assembled the pieces I decided it can't be seen. My model looks great and I've even forgotten about the gap until now. best wishes, Randy.
