This is my first Takom tank kit. All of the tank kits I have build so far have been Tamiya. I have built other Takom kits, but never a tank. First, the plastic is much softer than a Tamiya kit. Also, Takom likes to make a bunch of very tiny parts. The fit is great, but I don't know how many parts I lost to the carpet during this build. Its a Blitz kit, so I guess this is Takom's way of making fun, easy, and fast to build kits. I would agree here, as it only took me a half a day to complete the build. The PE parts I did not enjoy, and the copper cable was very difficult to use, but I think its going to look great once its painted up. I would recommend a Takom tank to anyone.

Like I said, it builds up pretty quick. I do think Takom could work on their instructions some. I had more than a few times, where I was scratching my head trying to figure out where and how some parts actually went on.

I realized that the flash suppressor was on the wrong way. I did fix this before priming it.

I primed it using Mig One Shot black primer. I am going to try a new paint with this kit. I normally paint everything in Tamiya paints, but I bought a AK, Real Color, German tank set, so I am going to try AK paints for the first time.

I think it looks pretty cool.

I painted this with AK Real Color RC060 dark yellow. This is my first time using AK paints. I thinned it 50/50 with Mr. Hobby leveling thinner. I like these paints, as they are very similar to Tamiya, but they have a funky smell, so that alone might make me stick to Tamiya paints. I do like the surface and they sprayed great through my cheap airbrush.

This is my dog. She had enough of me working on models today, so I had to take a break and hang out with her.

I hand painted the tracks with Mig dark track color. I also painted the rubber wheels with Tamiya black rubber.

Tow cable, MG, and tools were all painted using Mig paints by hand. I picked up a Mig tank tool kit paint set so I always use these paints. I think the set came with 4 different wood colors, a rust color, and gun metal.
