Peugeot 206 WRC 2001/2002
Main body`s clean and ready for a good soapy wash.
I Still wonder why is this recess for. I also wonder why most of us modeller`s leave it there. It`s so ugly.
This is how the inside look
Nice
Ugly
It`s very easy to clean
Using a sheet of sand paper (coarse) on a flat surface
Then with a lighter sand paper
Its done
I think it looks much better. In 5 minutes I will clean all the 10 wheel rim`s
Taking care of the roll cage.
Lots of tape
Finally.Almost done.
Still a lot to do...
Lower part of engine and transmission painted. Brush painted with Tamiya enamel.
Exhaust painted with AK extreme metal Aluminium and tamiya enamel X32
One more exhaust to finish
Rear spoilers are done.Finnish is good. Nothing else to do here.
Not even close to the end.
This is the body of the 2001 version. Either I did something wrong or the spray (tamiya Ts17) wasn`t good. Never the less I already polished the 2002 body and it look`s fine. I will take care of this later.
This have been polished with Tamiya compound and its smooth and shine. I said before I was going to give a coat of varnish but I think it`s not needed.
2001 version still unpolished
Need some retouch...
Still a lot to do in here
Old decals. They crack as soon as we touch them
I wonder if this Nokia style cellphone still works.
Cell phone position corrected. Now I believe it will work better ?
Well, interior almost done. Unfortunatelly I have no skills to paint hte dials and knobs properly. After the car done they can`t be seen but it would be nice if they were better painted.
Not much to be seen here. Tape and more tape
black rubber stripes painted
Starting with the body decals. Tamiya decals lately are becoming real nightmares to me. Thes ones are twenty years old so I`m expecting extra problems. Until now it`s not bad but it`s not good either.
Now the right side. one of the hardest thing in modeling for me is waiting the decal softener to react and see if the decal seat properly. The left side its not bad.Let`s see how this goes.
2002 version almost done. I like the finish. It will be waxed only. No varnish needed.
2002 version almost done. Decals are acceptable.Much better then I expected due to its age. At the end once again I decide to wax the model so no varnish was aplied. I still think the finish its much more real this way.
It`s enough. It is like it is. Next will be better.I hope
2002 version is done . More pictures on a separate album.
Back to the 2001 version. Nothing new except for the grill mesh. This time I use the one that come with the kit.
Almost everything is done and waiting for the decals
Seat belts are still loose
The 2002 version have a nicer grill mesh
2001 version done. The model is pretty much the same of the 2002 version so I`m just adding the photos of the finished model
The front grill is the one that comes with the kit.....doesn`t look bad but there are better ones.
The duo.
And the trio. I added the 1999 version I made 20 years ago. It`s yellowed and need`s a good clean up.
That`s all . Hope you liked.

My father can not separate from his old cell phones. Trust me: that old Nokia WILL still work!
Nice Progress though 👍

Those hgw-seatbelts turned out really nicely!
Maybe you can try to paint switches and knobs with a toothpick. That way you can apply paint more selective.
