Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 1/12 Italeri

Album image #1
Some goodies when starting off ...the correct color from Zero Paints, some braided lines, and a leather sheet from Hiroboy for the seat.

Engine taking shape. Used different aluminium colors and waxes, AK washes, used some real bolts and nuts and Wave nuts. Aber mesh in air filter.

Album image #3
Shortened the building frame from the Fiat Mefistofele to fit the Alfa chassis

Album image #4
I have given the car number 11. With the Alfa’s the number is on the radiator, not on the mesh before that

Placing the back and cockpit. The ‘leather’ works really well, I preheated the seat when applying the self-ashesive leather and used light to moderate heat when shaping the leather over the seat.

Album image #11
I left the radiator and nose for last, as I wanted to make sure with dryfits that everything is okay for the panels. (It wasn’t, took some force, sanding and cutting, thick CA and glue clamps to get it right)

Album image #13
The exhaust, in Alclad Exhaust manifold, Vallejo Nato black over that towards the end. Tamiya Burnt Iron pigments. Wood glue and a string of rope for the ‘racy’ look next to the seat.
