Austrian Sikorsky S-70 - Bundesheer MedEvac - DONE
Also this one...kit #3 of my Blackhawk build. Ready to go.
Checking out the interior of cockpit and cabin...
Cleaning up the parts and first assy work on the seats - the cabin will have open doors - so pretty much will be seen from the outside.
Started to work on the cockpit....
Consoles and panels of the kit are not reflecting what is there on the "real thing"...
....tried to get at least a bit closer.
Same with floor beams and substructure....
...which can be seen through the windows.
The medical unit of the real bird.....
...and the reconstruction on my 1/72 model.
Vaccu formed bag/insulation chamber for secure transport of infected patients.
Medical equipment - first trial fit of some scratch work and stuff from the spare box.
Dry fitting the quarantine chamber and medical equipment
Start of working on the resin exhausts...
...need to open up front and back side as the resin kits shows FOD lids attached.
The resin is suitable for Hasegawa - so quite a bit of carving is needed to integrate the exhaust to this Revell kit. In the meanwhile flare&chaff dispersers and infra-red sensores are attched to the fuselage too.
Also surgery ongoing here,....need to re-assembly arms, heads, legs ect,... to rebuild the scene as shown in picture one
Mr. Frankenstein has finished body sculpturing 😉
Does it come close to the scence in picture one?
Does it come close to the scence in picture one?
So now these gentlemen need some color.
Crew members ...
... and medical staff.
Taking a seat
Primer on
mottling done
Waiting for further steps in the hawks nest together with his sipplings,...

Welcome Roland - there ist still time to go for some Nachos or a vist at the rest rooms....I need some more time upfront before I can start. But I excited to put it on the work bench soon.

Following 😉. I've got a HH-60H Rescue Hawk in the stash, so maybe some ideas for that build.

I switched the kits - the project started with the intend to do EUFOR markings. Now it is goeing to become a MedEvac version of the Austrian Blackhawk.
Some new pic's available.

Thanks Cuajete. I am looking forward too - just ordered an alternative lens to conclude on this build as I have issues with my old one.

#4 - final pictures up-loaded. My personal Blackhawk groupbuild is finished now. Thx to Roland for the first photoshooting session, it was a pleasure to "go & see" how other mates are doing the job. The new camera lense is tested now and it seems to be working as expected. 😉
Cheers.

Very well done Juergen! The Blackhawk comes in many versions, and you managed to place this bird in a unique setting. Great finish, and I also like the med-truck as Nathan said!
