CH-46E "SeaKnight over the Kabul"
I walked 10km to buy a CH-46E from Hobby Boss.
CH-46 Fleet!
Washing as it is slippery with mould release agent.
In the photo, the port side of the fuselage was open, so we modified it the same way.
The moulding of the window frames was too thin and I had great difficulty.
I miss Fujimi's kits...
I miss Fujimi's kits...
This fuselage has only one bubble window on the starboard side, so I made the port window using surplus parts from Fujimi.
For some reason, the Fujimi windows fit more snugly without gaps.
Is this what you want, Hobby Boss?

For the first time in 300 million years I made a 1/72 figure.
Fine paintwork.
White paint is hard to dry, but I painted the whole thing and lost the handle.
Don't get me started on masking curved surfaces on an uneven aircraft...
I made the decals.
So this is what a "flying banana" looks like...
That's about it for now.
In honour of all the pilots serving in the exodus from Afghanistan.

Nice and quick 😮 The SeaKnight reminds me of the "Frequent Wind" in particular.

I lately learned why it reminded me of Saigon - it was there too:

The most spectacular Sea Knight ever it seems 🙂

I made a 1/72 scale version of the aircraft that was flying on the news just a few dozen hours ago.
