IJN Yukikaze (Chibi-fied!)
First ship in a long time, and for some reason I thought it would be cute. And for some reason I thought it would be a good idea for my first PE ship.
Just the hull, doing some assembly while watching TV.
Dry fit of the major parts, so far so fun!
Help. What have I gotten myself into??
Okay those are tiny and crooked but it gets better right?
Oh my god the railings. Somehow the port side bridge railing is the only PE piece I straight up lost.
Just before I spent 30 minutes masking the linoleum before maybe 1-2 minutes of spraying over it.
Hand painting done! I wish I'd painted the ship's boats before putting them on the cranes but oh well.
Almost all the assembly done, just waiting for glues to dry.
All the deck barricades and guns on. Next stop some washes for shading.

Tiny PE. It's always fun to see someone putting some extra details and effort in these eggs. 👍

If I can do these I can do anything!
I have three more of them too, all with PE and two with wood deck decals. My reasoning was if they're eggs I can not worry about being realistic 😂

Still getting the hang of photography on models. The grey/blue backdrop seems like a nice side-effect of the spray booth, which has the best lighting!
