Sopwith Camel B2543, Hellenic Naval Air Service 1919.

-I was not lucky with the lacing. Although eduard provides an extra right hand fuselage part for a different type of lacing, B2543 was a rather rare case of having the lacing at the left side. An old PE lacing set by eduard (72393) saved the day. I removed the molded lacing from the right side and superglued the PE lacing to the left.
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/1/5/6/1163156-72216-26-720.jpg)
-I used the plastic kit part for the clerget engine, I replaced the push rods with 0.18mm steel wire and added spark plugs and wires (wires are 0.06mm fishing line, plugs made from polyamide tubing).
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/1/5/4/1163154-72216-27-720.jpg)
-Most kit plastic parts for the eduard Camel are imho a better choice than aftermarked PE, resin or 3D printed accessories. The instrument panel is better than the PE or the 3D printed if you invest some effort painting it. I used the decals provided for the instrument faces. The 3D printed seat is a bit better than the plastic and much better than the PE at a reasonable price, so this is the only aftermarket part I used.
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/1/5/7/1163157-72216-47-720.jpg)
-Engine painted (alclad). Ok, it not Small Stuff, but it is good enough for my standards 🙂
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/1/5/8/1163158-72216-21-720.jpg)
-Added the fuel system parts, filter and plumbing made from copper wire and brass rod.

-Instrument panel assembly.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/1/6/1/1163161-72216-93-720.jpg)
-Parts ready to disappear forever in the fuselage 🙂
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/9/6/9/1168969-72216-46-720.jpg)
Tailskid part, copy made from brass
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/9/7/0/1168970-72216-45-720.jpg)
Tailskid painted, control wires added
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/9/6/8/1168968-72216-88-720.jpg)
Fuselage closed. I replaced the gun handles with the supplied PE ones, better scale appearance. Rh part of fuselage had some mold flaw, required a bit of putty.

A couple of years ago I built the old tool eduard Camel, after having it in my stash for many years. Sopwith Camel F1 HNAS 1919, 1/48. Eduard | Album by EliasK (1:48)
I thought I ' m done with camels but a very interesting photo discovered recently and the new tool camel made me change my mind. So, here is the Sopwith Camel B2543 of the Hellenic Naval Air Service c. 1919
