Most parts of the second layer have dried up, i will continue to make several layers to kinda try to get a deepth effect.
EDIT: several months laters i ended upp adding probably 100 layers of different mixtures and sometimes i went to much with white layers or did not get enough transparency so had to add even more layers to get the effect i wanted...

More water was added
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/6/6/3/1182663-66738-30-720.jpg)
Here you can see more clearly how i tried to cover up the black holes i painted
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/6/6/4/1182664-66738-28-720.jpg)
Started to add some wear and tearing, i was not happy with the black "spots/holes" on the hull i did before so tried to cover them up a bit but still keep them visible
![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/6/6/5/1182665-66738-78-720.jpg)
Details on the conning tower was hand painted
![Album image #22 Album image #22](/albums/img/6/6/6/1182666-66738-48-720.jpg)

Starting to dry
![Album image #24 Album image #24](/albums/img/6/6/8/1182668-66738-78-720.jpg)
First layer of the acrilliyc water was added i thougth this would neeed maybe 2-5 layers and be quick and easy, ended up taking me probably 50 layers and months of work/wait
![Album image #25 Album image #25](/albums/img/6/6/9/1182669-66738-77-720.jpg)
First paint was added as a base coat
![Album image #26 Album image #26](/albums/img/6/7/0/1182670-66738-43-720.jpg)
More piano wire was used for the rigging
![Album image #27 Album image #27](/albums/img/6/7/1/1182671-66738-17-720.jpg)
Sanding down the puddy on the sides
![Album image #28 Album image #28](/albums/img/6/7/2/1182672-66738-81-720.jpg)
Adding some piano wire to the conning tower to act as the metal wires that was there on the real thing
![Album image #29 Album image #29](/albums/img/6/7/3/1182673-66738-97-720.jpg)
Adding some puddy to the sides to make it more of a 90 deg bend over the edge
![Album image #30 Album image #30](/albums/img/6/7/4/1182674-66738-32-720.jpg)
Everything in place where it should be, probably not 100% accurate but I'm quite happy since its my first "scratch" build.
![Album image #31 Album image #31](/albums/img/6/7/5/1182675-66738-42-720.jpg)
Here both sides of the fence is in place as well as some thinner plastic details added to the upper hull

![Album image #34 Album image #34](/albums/img/6/7/8/1182678-66738-29-720.jpg)
A thinner metal wire was used to make the rope like fence part
![Album image #35 Album image #35](/albums/img/6/7/9/1182679-66738-18-720.jpg)
Here i bent some more wire around a screw driver and then solder it on to attatch the ropes
![Album image #36 Album image #36](/albums/img/6/8/0/1182680-66738-25-720.jpg)

Soldering the hull fence
![Album image #40 Album image #40](/albums/img/6/8/4/1182684-66738-66-720.jpg)
Here I'm using some iron wire to solder the fence, trying to replicate it as much as i can.
![Album image #41 Album image #41](/albums/img/6/8/5/1182685-66738-77-720.jpg)
Some minor errors was done but trying to align the deckgun and all hatches properly

![Album image #43 Album image #43](/albums/img/6/8/7/1182687-66738-18-720.jpg)
Adding some height to the hull by adding side plates and foam in the middle

Plastic cutout of the upper hull
![Album image #45 Album image #45](/albums/img/6/8/9/1182689-66738-27-720.jpg)
Making space for the sub, this was probable not the best approach since i need to cut away a lot of material
![Album image #46 Album image #46](/albums/img/6/9/0/1182690-66738-43-720.jpg)

Great work and presentation 👍
