This will be a gift for my Dad, who in 1964 was in U.S. Navy Officer Candidate School as a pilot in training to fly this aircraft. It was discovered that his sinuses were not going to be able to withstand the g-forces of flying an attack aircraft. He accepted a medical discharge and taught high school English then became a guidance counselor retiring after 35 years of being an educator. As he has often stated, "Things work out the way they are supposed to. Looking back I'm glad I was teaching children how to communicate instead of bombing the hell out of Vietnamese villages". He will turn 80 years old later this year. I hope he enjoys having it as much as I'm enjoying building it.
