finished the radionucleide batterie
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/2/7/8/1273278-17195-41-720.jpg)
Planetary radio astronomy and plasma wave antenna added
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/2/8/0/1273280-17195-17-720.jpg)
Golden record in acryl as a pedestial for the finished spaceprobe later
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/8/2/3/1273823-17195-30-720.jpg)
glueing the box and the etched pyramidal connection to the magnetometer boom was a bit fiddly. EDUARD´s manual was also very vague about it
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/8/2/1/1273821-17195-76-720.jpg)
The magnetometer boom should have a 120° twist in its longitude axis as the real one have. But I did not found a safe way to manage it without bending or even destroying the whole fragile etched boom so I left it as it ist without the twist. Dont tell anyone...
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/8/2/2/1273822-17195-75-720.jpg)
Now it looks already like a spaceprobe. Just the main high gain antenna missing!
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/4/9/8/1274498-17195-95-720.jpg)
Finished the last component of the space probe - the high gain antenna. Some parts were replaced again with etched parts and some cableing with etched parts added
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/4/9/7/1274497-17195-21-720.jpg)
just the golden record is still missing now. This will be installed only in the very end after the probe is completely painted
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/4/9/6/1274496-17195-19-720.jpg)
The finished object
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/5/1/2/1274512-17195-37-720.jpg)
Disaster strucked during priming of the surfaces. I did holded the spaceprobe at the magnetometer antenna. At the last stage (maybe 2 Minutes left) the antenna suddenly snapped and the probe fell down. I also sprinkled primer out of the airbrush over my desk. What a mess ?
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/5/1/3/1274513-17195-59-720.jpg)
I am not sure but I think this etched antenna is beyond repair... maybe its the best to buy another etched set ?
![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/5/1/4/1274514-17195-40-720.jpg)
The girders for the radionucleide battery also got loose and the boom with the experiments also got loose
![Album image #22 Album image #22](/albums/img/5/1/5/1274515-17195-23-720.jpg)
The cameras also disintegrated. A serious blow for my morale ?
![Album image #23 Album image #23](/albums/img/2/2/7/1328227-17195-67-720.jpg)
I was finally able to buy a new etched set to replace the damaged magnetometer antenna
![Album image #24 Album image #24](/albums/img/2/2/5/1328225-17195-94-720.jpg)
Started to paint the details
![Album image #25 Album image #25](/albums/img/2/2/6/1328226-17195-56-720.jpg)
![Album image #26 Album image #26](/albums/img/2/2/8/1328228-17195-99-720.jpg)
replaced the demolished magnetometer antenna with a new one
![Album image #27 Album image #27](/albums/img/2/2/9/1328229-17195-94-720.jpg)
Eduard´s etched surfaces of the visible screwnuts is nicely visible after a drybrush with light grey
![Album image #28 Album image #28](/albums/img/2/3/4/1328234-17195-98-720.jpg)
golden record inserted and represented the white seams of the special covering around the main hull and extension arms

Looks great! The PE seems to be a nice improvement 👍
Where is this famous golden phonograph record attached? I mean now the original, inside?

Thank you, the golden record is attached at the outside of the main body. You can see it at the kit´s box if you look at the first picture of the project. Eduard have this disc inside and it is much better then the kit´s one.

Until now very few accidents happened during my modelling journeys but today accident struck - during priming with the airbrush I did hold the probe at the magnetometer antenna (don´t say you shouldn´t do that...). Shortly before finishing the antenna suddenly folded down and broke off. I spilled color out of the airbrush onto my desk. The radionucleide battery also got loose and the boom with the cameras also disintegrated. My morale is very low now, don´t know if I can repair the boom and finish up this project. Need a beer now... 🤬🔨

Verdammt wie ärgerlich. Das tut mir leid für dich.
Nach dem Bier wird es dir besser gehen und du wirst den Schaden beheben. 😉

Your work turned out very nice, the set from Eduard made it even more valuable. I also like your presentation with the display stand very much. Top finish! 😎

Very beautiful. To finish it in this quality after the accident should make you twice as proud.

That has to be so fragile! What a beautiful and detailed build. The base is awesome too.
