DoubtingmangoWhat are your thoughts on the kit? Have you done a 250/1 by another brand? I've got the Tamiya in my stash, but I've had my eye on the Takom.

Maciej T.Doubtingmango: Thank you 🙂 Detail and fun of gluing - very good 🙂 The only thing Takom messed up was either the drive wheels at the tracks or the tracks themselves.... The teeth of the drive wheel did not want to fit into the "eyes" of the tracks, I had to grind these teeth a little (because I glued the tracks earlier as "working"). The rest really OK 🙂

Maciej T.One note: the model will not be in German paint. I will make it as a vehicle captured by the People's Army of Poland (1945). Therefore, the interior will be relatively empty - after all, Polish soldiers did not use schmeissers 🙂

BohrmannCan I ask how you do this pre-shading or is it a trade secret 😉 ? From your other work I know that you are very skilled with an airbrush (eg the cammo scheme of your Arado 555 project). You could paint a model in black and white and it wouldl stilll look great. 😀 Hmmmm....maybe this is an idea for a future project 🤔

Maciej T.It's no secret 🙂 This shading is the old black&white technique. First the model is painted with black primer and then with white paint I try to paint the tonal transitions and also the streaks and splatters. This way we have a ready modulation of the base color. Provided that we manage not to paint over what we have done 🙂 I paint the base color very diluted (even 1/10) and after each layer I check whether it is enough or one more 🙂
