My Czech MiG-21MF
for a 2021 Scalemates Group Build

I saw this group build back in mid-2021 and since I had a MiG-21 kit laying around I decided to go for it. I didn't really get the peace and quiet to start it up until February 2022 however.

I wasn't sure which variant to build; I kind of like the idea of building different countries so I was considering the Hungarian - but being tired of colouring silver planes such as my Polish Yak and Baltic Fleet SU-17 I decided to go for a Czechoslovakian variant, and not to resemble my old Syrian MiG-19 I have decided for the bluish-green camouflage version. I hope it will be a fun one too build while I wait for my ordered collection of Danish models...

I have generally build quite a few of these old KP models and although they can be a little crude, I don't really consider them bad. I like that they also have some of the vintage Czechoslovakian biplanes in their catalogue; something that I could be persuaded going a bit deeper into at some point.
