born again modeller, dad, husband, cyclist, wargamer, gamer and Everton fan!

I was an avid modeller as a kid, mostly aircraft but with the odd warship thrown in. As I got older I got into war gaming and so my pocket money was then spent on this. Time went by and I discovered wine and women, song a plenty (and work) and these things were forgotten about...

A couple of years ago (I'm now 41) someone bought my youngest son an airfix kit (A 1/72 focke wulf 190, now in bits after being played with a bit too much) which we had immense fun putting together and painting.

Well, that was it, since then we've built a fiesta rally car, a jaguar XKR, HMS Prince of Wales, HMS Ark Royal, Das Boot and most recently a 1/350 HMS Illustrious he got for his last birthday (bet you can't guess who bought him that!). These are all my sons kits, I have started my own collection...
