'94 Mustang Indy Pace Car

A very nicely detailed and accurate kit. It was planned as a slump buster, but took finally much more time than expected. Assembling is straight forward until the final assembly. Had my difficulties with both suspensions and especially the final stance: out of the box, it's much too high and also too width! So, I cut the front wheel attachments, sanded the brake drums and the outside of the suspension, then pinned and superglued the wheels at the right height. That gives a realistic stance. I did not detail the engine a lot, as it's mostly hidden by the air intake, but I flocked the interior and installed seat belts and buckles from Scale Productions for more realism. The fully chromed wheel rims look toy like. So, I detailed them with Tamiya mat black, smoke clear and flat clear and added valve stems. There is a shock tower brace (for a later version?) in the kit but not in the instructions. I decided to add it to the engine bay (as an option?). Overall, I had my challenges with unclear defined attachment points (headlights, dashboard, lower radiator hose). This is only the second Mustang build for me, and the final result looks quite ok too me.
