The first problems arose today when I tried to install the frames. There are no markings or reference points for this. So it was a case of guessing and sanding. And then I forgot to take a photo of it... It'll come.

Ben MOkay looking at this kit's timeline it was most recently issued by "s&m models." You can't make this stuff up.

ChrisI added some pics before I will glue the fuselage together. So you can see, it fits pretty well. There are tiny little pins and holes, some of them I had to remove for better fitting. Even the big part from the wing fits very neatly.
This is not my first Williams-kit, I built the Curtiss Commando, the Martin B-10 and the Northrop Gamma. I never had an issue with those kits. The instruction sheet is another theme: The pictures are just a possibility what you can do and the rest is plain text. You cannot compare those old kits with new, modern ones that come together as LEGO 😉

Oversized decals in 1/48 appears to be a common problem with Italeri aircraft kits in 1/48. Despite the printing quality (Cartograph) it appears that Italeri are incapable of accurately measuring them for fit before sending off to Cartograph for printing. I have encountered similar decal fit issues with their 1/48 F-14A, Mirage III, Mig 21, S-3 Viking etc. Given that most (if not all) of their kits released these days are reboxings of older tooled kits; having to replace the decals as well is just a no go for me and so I now avoid the brand completely.

Ricardo Reis@James, I was not aware of this issue; I only started noticing when I started to apply the first decals and looking at the reference photos - there are 2 or 3 photos of this specific aircraft; now it's to late to go back, but I am alert for the future; @bughunter, I love this typo or propeller, like the ones we can see in the A400M, they are very beautiful and elegant and powerful at the same time!

CamLOThere is only 2 issues.Not really issues to be fair,but procedures which need attention and more precision.1st- windows are printed on piece of foil,it requires small good sharp scissors and good light to carefully cut out each window.I used my swiss army knife scissors 🙂.2nd-crew cabin is assembled from 5 piecies.It requires just few dry fit tests and patience during glueing.Generally it is very nice kit with not many parts and build was very relaxing.I can only recommend it!

Hajo LippkeI built this kit as well and was very pleased with it. It´s a very nice starting point for a diorama or just some adition in form of a crew and their stuff. So I would definetely recommend it!
