F_IVAdded the large control wheel to the pilot's cockpit from soldered wire and heat curved sprue. I like the little brass hub in the middle 🙂

F_IV@Skyhiker I have an inexpensive soldering iron from an electronics store. It is nothing special, but the best thing I have is liquid soldering flux. Using that allows the solder to grab the surface and stick without requiring too much heat or flooding the area with solder.
@gorby Being a jeweller helped at first. But now I am finding that the modelmaking is helping me be a better jeweller! 👍

RonaVery impressive built! I think the most noticeable issue of the academy kit is the main landing gear. The legs are way too long (2mm) and the MLG doors are too massive. But this is relatively easy to fix. Following!

Mr DDo you use copper wire??
I was watching a YouTube vid and the guy was using the wire out of sandwiches bag ties, you know the type they twist to hold new electric cables ect.
It looked ideal for simulating wiring n break lines ect.
Nice job on the seatbelt's looking good 👌
