Following. Still struggling with my Revell/Modeltrans/OKB Grigorov Merk. Also bought the EMP3D ball and chain armour but see that you used the balls only. Anxious to hear why. Where did you find the super fine chain? I didn't.

Following.
I had also thought about replicating the chainball armor with chains for my two Merkavas and tried but failed because the chains I found all seemed too big.

I was elated when EMP3D released the ball and chain armour and I ordered it and it looks very good. So I am anxious to know why Pryzemyslav discarded it.

Thx mates.
When i've bought EMP3D i was very happy, because there are no in the trumpeter set.
But after installation it occured they hang to low and just break with little turret movement
After few trials to fix them, ideas to rebuild the turewt, i've decided to replace them
Found small chains (even smaller that i've used) on mojehobby.pl

Another Day at Farnborough - Revell Eurofighter 1/48 - WIPNew: 1 October, 22:13 1:48
Although I chose to use Eduard PE parts for this kit, the cockpit details were actually pretty good!

That looks really well made, youve really out done yourself capt. Having built my fair share of revell im really surprised that the cockpit has such a good level of detail

Ok, riveting is time-consuming but also relaxing. I gave the wing a wash to check the result. Looking good so far. I just hope that it will be still visible after paint job

Today I began the painting process for the 234. Sprayed RLM66 on the canopy and also used this for preshading of the upperside. Preshading of the underside was done with Intermediate Blue. I tried these colours instead of the usual black to obtain less contrast to the base coats and make it blend better. Hopefully...

With the engine outlets and canopy frames done, painting comes to an end. Especially the latter was very tedious in terms of masking. But I am satisfied with the result 😃

Decals are on. Next step panel line wash to bring out all the rivets I made.

Very nice. Amazing detail on the cockpit, looks impressive.
I have 2 old Ar 234 in progress, but the cockpits, or should I say lack of, that came with the kit just don't compare. I did a bit of scratch building, but just so something could be seen.
Question - what size wire did you use for the cockpit?

Really nice work, loving the details. Not often you say that the rubbish makes a scene, but it totally applies to this fantastic dio. Top job AJ.

Thanks all - I built the vehicles over a year ago then took a year off modelling (got into airsoft!). I love making the dio bases but this one challenged me - there was just never enough debris and rubbish, but I'm very happy with the end result. I just wish I'd done a better job with the power lines and had them sagging... oh well, another UFO (Un Finished Object)!

Thank you! The water bottle is from a Black Dog kit. I'm going to build one or two Ammo can's an add a M16 and a M60 as well. There will be two M134's for the doorgunner positions and two rocket pods as well.

Would prefer an M60 at the door, but minigun is also legit 👍 🙂
Great stuff, thanks for sharing, looking forward for more.

Thank you Dariusz, but there is absolute no progress since January 🥵
We're too busy by completing our new home.
But I can't wait to get back to modeling 🤩

Hi Christian, looking good, bit more room for detail with a helicopter,
I just purchased the Zvezda mi-8 in 1:72.
I want to do a Chernobyl diorama in the winter, with Mi-8 dropping sand and boron on the damaged reactor.. they sell little 3d printed Chernobyl power stations on eBay.
Do you prepare the surface before gluing on PE ? Or just S-glue direct to plastic.?
Thanks for uploading... nice project 😀👍👍

@Mr D Thank you man! I'm only degreasing the PE with brake assembly cleaner before gluing. The initial idea was to do a Vietnam Era diorama, with HH-53, AH-1 and UH-1. But that idea requires time to do modelling, so at the moment, sadly, there is no room for that. Maybe later that year.
@Cristian A, you're welcome Mate ✌️

Looks like fun in 1:48. I considered creating an iterior for a Blackhawk 1:72 kit, but though it was all too small.

I really enjoy the process of dry fitting and reshaping. Can't imagine doing this in 1:72 🙈
I'm going to add a few rivets from HGW models too. So there is a long way to go….
