Great start and cockpit. I am a big fan of the Tamiya kits from this era. A very fun "canvas" to play with for detailing and painting. They still hold up compared to modern tooling if done right.

Thanks John and Mark. The cockpit is excellent just OOB, considering the year this tool was released. And the kit is still pretty inexpensive these days.

Mine did, when I applied the VMS Gloss on the Shiden, prior to decalling. Did lose a bit of subtly, but not much. Looking good so far Alberto.

Thanks Mark. It's tricky to guess when's the right time to stop the blending without loosing the pre-shading once the model is finished 😄

That's exactly my experience Alberto. The line between too much and not enough is very thin for sure. I've noticed that's especially true with darker colors like olive drabs or the IJN green like here. In those cases, some post shading with some lighter versions of the base color might be necessary to restore some of the tonal variation. Looking good 👍

Really nice model.... Presented in a clever way, be a shame to hide that engine work.
Like it 👍👍

Thank you! Unfortunately there is a bit of dust behind the clear part. The seam between the two halfs needs a lot of sanding and filler and I couldn't avoid it completly.

Hello, I am currently building the Tu 22m3 1/72 from Trumpeter and I have noticed that some of the colors in the instructions are completely wrong. Can you please help me and tell me which Mr Hobby colors I can use for the landing gear boxes (both front and the two rear ones), but also which colors I can use for the Kh 15 rockets and for the rocket cabin.
Thank you very much!
