Indeed... 👍 (Don't they deserve perhaps separate albums - and surely a different "teaser" photo for the album?)

bonne année a tous
la remarque est juste
car le kit heller incluait la R8 et la fourgonnette
sauf que j ai mis alpine a la place de la R8
et du coup j ai mis la R8 a part
a la base je voulait mettre la R8 dans le diorama mais j avais pas la place

These are topics, not model products. These ejection seats are manufactured by NPP Zvezda, which as far as I know has no relationship to Zvezda who make model kits. The ejection seats are used primarily by jet aircraft, so the category for these topics is appropriate. I think Zvezda means "star" or something like that. Cheers, Bill

Hi and thanks for your reply. The issue is not the topics themselves, but that they are categorized as Jets. Looking at other detail sets shows that this usually not the case. Case in point: The list of (supposed) jet aircrafts includes these very two ejection seats just at the end: SCM Category: Jets
That doesn't look correct to me.

Viewing a random selection of Martin Baker ejection seats, shows them to have the relevant aircraft type set as "Topic". Although I note that just about every mark of MB ejection seat is available as a "Topic", I didn't find any in use in my quick review. Example:
Martin Baker Mk.10 B/1 (Earl..Graphic Models AC-209, 1:72)

That statement is incorrect. However, some seats are (incorrectly) assigned to the Jets category. Counterexample: F/A-18E ejection seat (Eduard 648931, 1:48)

Hi, nice going! I was looking up the usage of this set of t-rex tracks. For me, the "outside" track pins stick out quite far.. what am I doing wrong? its like 3mm of pin head just sticking out it looks wrong. Not the first t-rex set ive done and all others have been fine for me so idk.

It's all in the prep work, Peter!
I'm curious to know though, will the black, also accentuate the panel lines?
For example, the doors, hood and trunk, gaps? Or, would you tackle that later down the line? Or even just leave it as is, and let the natural light, do its magic?

Mate, recently I've done more rubbing, than Aladdin's girlfriend!
Large resin models, and OCD, definitely don't come hand in hand!
I have to stop, put it down, and do something else, just for my own sanity?
In the UK, we used to use a black paint, on the sills, called Tetrosyl. It was bitumen based, and prevented rust. However, it had the reverse effect, and trapped water, then made your car, rust to death! Now I just use roadkill. It's not as brutal, as the Tetrosyl 😉

Kyle, I am trying to replicate the colour and just cannot get the right saturation. Shade is fine, colour is fine but the best I can get is a bit dull. Never mixed my own base colour before. I have spent way too much on paint now so will have to "run wot I brung" so to speak. I'll just be wet sanding the colour paint before I 2k clear over the top. My thoughts on cars are that the finish makes or breaks the build and that most of the finish is the top of the car. Roof, bonnet and boot lid.

@Erik, Indeed, the history of models in China is not long. In the late 1990s, Matchbox and Bandai established joint venture companies in China and introduced model kit products into the country. Therefore, most model enthusiasts in China are under 40 years old.
And picture 269 is from National Youth Model Championship which is organized by the government. Actually this Shanghai New year model contest also sponsored by the government since year 2006.

It's possible to buy this kit from eBay, but it costs round about 150€. I bought the kit produced in the 1980th and the plastic is very fragile and the equipment boxes aren't well detailed and it's not possible to open them fully. Besides that, I love this kit. The overall fitting is good and this kit is well designed. If it is possible to get this kit in a bundle with other kits, it is possible to get it relatively cheap
