Thank you very much Nathan. It was a challenge, I bought it when it was first released, and it had a few issues, like quite a few short shots. Mainly in the cockpit, so had to scratch build a few parts. I want to get another one as they have corrected the mistakes.

Welcome Nathan, Augie and John. @ John, no it means Ready to build., once I have everything I want as far as aftermarket stuff I put it all in the box and mark it RTB so I know everything is there. Otherwise I sometimes end up buying stuff I already have. A quick update on this one, paint and decals are done and and sealed. Waiting for anti-glare panel to dry and I will apply the wash. So getting near the end on this one. I will try and get some more pictures up soon. Spoiler, I did not do the box art version.

That home made corrugated aluminium looks amazing.
About duplicating parts, I have just started to use blue staff to make reusable moulds, works like a charm

Spanjaard: I used 2 component silicone for the moulds (Feroca Silastic 3483) and a resin from Smooth On (Smooth-Cast 300) that I found at a FX store nearby. They're not cheap, but the result turned out great!

Not my scale, but nice build 👍
Soldering is a very important technique for me (as I soldered the Eduard Stripdown kit 😉 ). If possible fix the parts somehow, so that the can't move during the cool down phase. The rest is training and timing.
The aluminium embossing technique is great!

Thank you, Michael, Alec and Bughunter!
Bughunter: yes, I found fixing the pieces to be very tricky, given the small diameter of the wire used. For my trials I managed to get a decent result somehow with balsa wood "bed" (I cut out a hole under the welding point to let the tin flow) masking tape and blue tac. Main issue for me by now is getting used to the behaviour of the tin, sometimes it flows ok, but not always. So still a long way to go! I really appreciate your advice btw.

Thanks, guys. Doing my best here, it's my first 1/144. I'll also replace the kit's wing struts with wooden ones following Bughunter's path. Since they're really big on the real thing I think it can be done in this scale. Got one done already and it looks great, I just wish there were not so many.

I understand that very well, David. Due to my work obligations and the somewhat erratic nature of my profession, my projects also take many years to complete. Anyway, my fingers are crossed that your new job stabilizes and you can get back to your modeling projects. I'd really like to see them finished. I believe that extraordinary models could emerge.
Good luck!

@ Mr James Thank you for your Nice words. I hope you also liked that Wicked 😄 The tree is a bonsai that had died, I cut some leaves because they were too big. If I remember correctly, I spread small wood shavings and other natural ones that I had in my vegetation stash on the ground.
Also, I thank the new likes. Apreciated

So to start I preferred a lighter job, although painting horses is not, in my opinion, easy.

@Desert Marlin, I know whar you mean. I've been hesitating about highlights with a soft airbrush of satin black or satin varnish on the most exposed surfaces. I hadn't thought about copper. But yes, it will have to have some shine.
@Ben M, Hahaha. Thank you. Your comment with a triple meaning has made me laugh several times, but in my defense I can tell you that this horse It is known as having the strength of an elephant and bites like a tiger. That's why they nicknamed him tiger elephant. 😄

Just starting the F-16AM (ROCAF) version of this so I'll be following along. What color are you doing the cockpit tub? I've got a mix for dark gull grey that "looks close" but curious what you settled on.
Oh, also the kit comes with a bunch of 500lb resin Mk. 82s I don't plan to use, along with resin MERs for them. Let me know if you want them.
