??? Hi all ???
I'm having a go at panel lines and weathering for first time on my IAR-80 model.
Can anyone advise at what stage do l add the chipping effect??
Is it before or after the Final flat coat ??
Any advice be appreciated 👍👍👍

I guess it depends of the level of chipping and the metod used. if you add (light) chipping with sponge, that will be almost the last thing you do, and if you use chipping fluids, you have to use them between layers of paint (certainly before last camo layer)
but I am certainly not expert un the subject!! 🙂

I used chipping fluid once and it is pretty easy. I sprayed a WW2 German red primer on my tank. Then the fluid and on top the camo. Then with a wet brush i could easy chip the camo. Then i sealed all with varnish

Good Morning, Ken. So interesting but I already had this one. You posted yours on August 28th & I posted mine on August 29th, 2024. Interesting that Igor Donchik did all the colour plates for both this Stalingrad Vehicles Colors plus the Panzer Camouflage you returned were all his work. Never noticed it until l looked in the box. Catch Ya, Logan Post Script: Will bring yours back at Modelpalooza.
