7/10 1. The photo etch rifled barrel insert is a nightmare - the metal is too thick, the rifling lines are too deep so when the metal is rolled it ends up as an octagon and not rounded. 2. Buy a resin replacement barrel. 3. Usual issues with the instructions - incorrectly numbered parts and a number of the drawings are from the full interior version (confusing) 4. The rockets are poorly moulded and lack detail, including the decals - I replaced them with AFV ones (although these had issues with fit) 5. If you really must buy this kit, buy the full interior version - this version has half of the fighting compartment missing, including (frustratingly) half of the parts for some of the interior items provided - the machine gun is missing the butt etc.

Thank yall
Im not a rivet counter or anything but.....
The more i looked at the kit boom i could not figure how it would work ..
Revell had their boom right im also going to support mine as they did and use poles instead of ratlines. Which tie down inside of the work area ?
Im not feeling that one either lol
Again thanks

Started out life as a Pyro Plastics kit which in turn was a reverse-engineered copy (pretty much a blatant rip-off) of the Model Shipways wooden kit of the M.T. (Motor Trawler) Hildina H-222 which was built by Cook, Welton & Gemmell Ltd. in 1951. If you look for photos, you will see it matches the Hildina except for some artistic license in the pilothouse windows mainly but an easy fix. The sloped rear pilothouse roof is also a distinctive feature of the Hildina. Apparently the front boom can face forward or aft (is it on a swivel?) according to need. I know the boom was used to hoist the cod end (heaviest part of the net) aboard. These kits are a great basis for conversion to R/C as the original plastic kits were motorized.

Interesting, didn't think it is a 4x4. Never see these type of tires in any kit before. Looks like a really unique model

Revell used this type of tires often on fire trucks. You can find them on the MAN HLF 20, MB DLK, MB LF 20/16, MB TLF 24/50 and MB HLF 20/16.

The cab looks really nice. What paint did you use for the blue floor of the rear crew area? Interesting effect.

I used Revell Aqua Nr. 54 with a matt varnish, but I think my varnish spray can is almost empty, wich creates this effect

You certainly went above and beyond with your paint scheme. I am impressed. Keep up the good work.

Honestly, the top strip is also blue but very dark. It's the Revell Aqua 54, but thank you very much, Goldman!

The instruction isn't mentioning the stand at all. As the torpedo is under the COG I would try to fix it to the torpedo.
Very nice progres so far. 👍

Leaning that way, Nicolas. I don't like it, but that's probably what I'll need to do.

@Mr D, the Devastator was a pre-War torpedo bomber that was one of the most advanced aircraft of its time. Unfortunately. it was already obsolete at the start of the war. It was slow and underpowered, and early-War tactics left its crews extremely vulnerable.

The Douglas TBD Devastator, was the U.S. Navy's main torpedo bomber. It was introduced in 1935, but was obsolete by 1939. They were replaced with the Grumman TBF Avenger.

Both coming along really nicely now, the flap lines look a lot better now.
Looking like all the build updates.
Good luck with next steps 👌😁👍👍

Thanks, Mr D. I'm trying not to let the asymmetry bother me on the black-primed model. I wish I'd made a template or measured them instead of trying to follow the old panel lines. Still, I'm glad I made the effort.
Pure improvisation, Casey! It seems to be holding up so far. I want to do open or partially-opened canopies, so it didn't make sense to glue them in place, which is what I usually would have done.

It's very hot and dry where I am right now, and the paint isn't responding the way I'd like. I'll have to come back when conditions are better.
