Mr DThanks, Appreciate the interest, lm reality new to the hobby about 14 months, finding my way with techniques.
Weathering n panel lines need more learning.
The IAR-80 was decent price from HB and liked the paint scheme...bit different

Nice to have the interest, HB instructions bit weak!
They said to paint interior charcoal black like on the FW-190.
But l checked n the Romanian lAR interior was grey/blue.
Engine building next 6 parts deal.

A small amount of the wing is seen through bottom of cockpit, the HB instructions didn't mention painting it first!!
But the fit of the model be ok so far.

Mr DHi, Yes lve used it alot and holds up really well , l find the fillers a bit messy and more trouble than it's worth on small gaps.
You do need to allow overnight drying with it for best sanding results.

Mr DYes it has a habit of filling in panel lines n bits not necessary!!
This technique is same as using alot of paint to fill a gap or high build primer ect...just becomes part of the paint layer as it acrylic too.
But it's not for big gaps!! As there is a bit of shrinking overnight.
Be onto marking rivets next step after sanding... Then need to make choices on open or closed canopy???

Kesa TihoSo recently i got an idea. Estonia has an air force, and an air force has planes, there is most likely a model for every single military plane ever made, so i checked google and found a model of a Aero L-39 Albatros. The EAF (estonian air force) uses one. So i thought it would just be cool if i could build a Aero L-39 Albatros but instead of using the given decals i somehow create EAF decals for the L-39. So just wondering if anyone knows or can make decals for planes. (Sorry for rambling again i just had one of those 3 am thoughs that even Einstein would be perplexed by)

Robert PodkońskiTalking about your own decals: you can print any design (as long as it does not include white...) with a laser printer on this:

Printed designs need to be given a light coat or two of transparent lacquer. After the lacquer is dry the procedure is the same as for typical (professionally printed) decals. In order to have white decals one would need a very rare and expensive equipment... But in some cases it can be solved in an unusual way... Think and experiment, Kesa 🙂

Spanjaardanother option to "make decals" is actually not use decals, but mask and paint whatever you want. you can use mask to paint many things, and then get the ones you can not make, from other kits. a national insignia of two planes of similar size and scale would be just perfect to be used for example. and of course, there are aftermarket decals set that can be used any way you want.
