Swiss-Mustang P-51B
The American plane right after the emergency landing in Switzerland on the 19th of July 1944.
I use this picture as reference for P-51 underside with D-Day stripes.
The machine repainted (without identification number) for Swiss Air Force test purposes.

This picture was taken from an old book about planes in swiss service. It is interesting that the inner wheel flaps are not visible here either, as in the photos of the aircraft
Seatbelts selfmade with painted tape
painted the most tiny parts
there were no decals for the instrumental panel so i painted like i did at the Tempest

Painting white with brush is horrible. It took me three attempts and I'm still not finished...

Thanks for following Thomas. The decals only gives the white crosses. So i have to paint the stripes but to be honest i always paint them, like i paint the D-Day stripes on other planes 😄👍

Thank you J35J and Spanjaard. After emergency landing in switzerland the swiss air force interned this P-51B for Tests. During WWII all swiss planes had this painting, the neutrality markings.
