This is the Tamiya Easy 8 kit modified to represent the M4A3E8 75 (W). a 75mm gun tank on the Easy 8 suspension, one of the rarer Sherman variants. The turret was replaced with Tank Workshop 48 TWS 48026 M4 Arsenal Reworked Turret. (It has a low bustle, added cheek armor, oval loader's hatch, an late style all-around vision commander's cupola. I also added a Eureka tow cable, Aber turned aluminum gun barrel, some details from the T-Rex Easy 8 detail set, and Value Gear stowage on the rear of the hull. Hardboiled was attached to the 16th Armored Division in Pilsen, Czechoslovakia, in May of 1945, one of the few of the type to see action before the end of the war.
