HMS Kent
Hull anti-fouling and prop shafts added. Portholes being drilled out.
Wooden decking added, using the Shipyard upgrade set which has a wonderful etched mid section
Not the easiest to see but the masts are almost kits in their own right!
But the instructions aren’t great!
Searchlight position and aircraft catapult
Walrus coming together
Turrets all made up and detailed
The cranes are absolute gems
Finally completed

Thank you. Photos aren't particularly good as the light has been poor but hopefully will be better as summer arrives (we hope)!

Beautful work Ian! I thought I liked aftermarket on my models, but you have me beat there! The details though are amazing, well done!

Thank you Mike. The Shipyard upgrade set is absolutely brilliant. I can't testify to accuracy but you 12 sheets of etch, brass masts, booms and gun barrels and a wooden deck, all of which look to be pretty good quality. Some of the etch is absolutely tiny though!
