The instructions should have the paint colors called out but only the box does (a Heller flaw in my opinion) but with almost useless colored dots, however the color numbers correspond with Heller colors:
016 Gold Metallic
019 Bright Red Gloss
024 Trainer Yellow Matt
025 Blue Matt
030 Dark Green Matt
060 Scarlet Matt
062 Leather Matt
064 Light Grey Matt
073 Wine Matt
085 Coal Black Satin
102 Army Green Matt
130 White Satin

I don't know what it is but on my shelf l have different models from different manufacturers, but the Airfix ones just sit right..? Scale wise.
As dose this one, really nice, l have this one in my stash, must build it in new year.
Really nice Nick l like the balance you have achieved 👌👌👍
Can't beat a Typhoon... armed to the teeth..😁

Thanks Mate. Over the past several years I started actually building and chipping away my stash and have really enjoyed the journey. I still buy new kits but not nearly as much however the new ones being produced by Airfix are indeed suberb. I just bought the new 1:48 Bristol Bulldog and the 1:72 ME-410. Both will be built soon. Thank you again for the kind words.

Is it me or is everyone who builds aircraft models getting a little tired of new EXPENSIVE kits that have many decal options but never seat harnesses forcing you to go to the aftermarket to make another expensive purchase?! Honestly 80% of the aftermarket brass for aircraft isn’t necessary and most of the time never seen especially in 1:72 scale. I started making my own harnesses from tape or wine bottle lead and the results are as good as expensive aftermarket items. Just a thought because most new kits claim to be the latest and greatest of everything. I seem to recall the same sentiments from the 80’s and 90’s about Hasagawa and Tamiya kits which STILL are some of the best out there

I've seen the after market kits sell for more than the model kit.
As you say once the cockpit is enclosed you see very little of it.
I had a photo etch part that didn't fit correctly n made job more difficult...it was on the side of the seat, had to cut corner off, it could have easily been moulded in as part of seat brace.
In some areas it works well, it's fun to make your own parts too, the foil of a hot chocolate lid works good for belts n thin metal parts.

If those pricey AM parts are being bought by people, and it keeps the hobby alive for me and others, I don't mind them being out there 😉

The point I'm making is that new kits are already expensive and should include seat harnesses at a minimum. I'm all for AM products and use the particular on ship models, but the prices are very high and a simple seat harness wouldn't hurt.

Thank you ! I got this kit as a gift for subscribing to Airfix Model World several years ago and decided to build it. Quick build and overall a very nice little kit.

Thank you. The colors in some of the pictures appear more green probably due to the lighting

Can anyone share a fast, and easy way to apply a bare metal finish on airplanes ? Over the years I think I have tried everything with decent results but nothing like I see on posts or in magazines. I really would like to stick with acrylics since they are less toxic, especially with aluminum colors etc..Would appreciate any advice. Thanks !

From what I remember, a few other members tried rub and buff and the results were different, I've not tried it myself.

Making progress, but let's just say this isn't a Tamiya kit. The fit is fair and the engineering to raise and lower the gun is overly complicated and ultimately I had to decide on a fixed position. Not a big deal and it's all a part of the modeling process but there is a reason why Tamiya kits are expensive ! Onward !
