Trumpeter 1/72 A-6 Issues?
Often seen closed on display aircraft - did Trumpeter model a museum bird? This is the A-6E outside of MCAS Cherry Point in Havelock NC
Left forward main door - this is on an -E model
left forward main door - don't forget those always red edges - I banged my head on them regardless
Display bird, door closed
Display bird, closed door
Not the best shot, but you see a proper load out here, no bomb on the upper forward point MER rack nearest the front main door -
Havelock NC, A-6E display bird properly loaded, but her forward main doors are closed too
Another error I found with the Trumpeter kit - an early A-6A will have this fence further inboard - This wing part is from the A-6A kit, it is identical to the A-6E kit wing
Some minor vent changes needed...

Man thanks for sharing this!! Makes plenty of sense. Great reference photos from someone who knows this plane as well as anyone!

folllowing!
Even if forward part of gear door could be closed, there should not be flat wall between them.
So many mistkes(((

Album info
Why did they leave the forward main doors out? - Wing fence is wrong location too.
