It is simply unbelievable that two cockpits were installed on such a tiny plane - I have seen a Me 163 in Deutsches Museum, and I was sooo much surprised with its overall "pocket-size" dimensions...

I don't think the life expectancy was very long for the pilots of Comet!!
They had to glide in once fuel had ran out.

Thanks all for the comments. They actually had to remove the rocket engine to fit the second cockpit, so this was intended to be towed up to altitude for pilots to practice landings under glide. Never made it into service though, as they moved away from the Komet program before testing was finished/production started.
