you can take the the metal that covers wine bottles (tin?), cut it with scissors, and paint it in any color. or even paint it and then cut in thin stripes. serves really good for this kind of applications. it is possible to buy that kind of material. but if there is any bottle of wine being open at home, you have it for free.... another material that can be used is thin aluminium. Nesquick used to have a thin layer alumium under the lid of their cans for example. pretty useful stuff
a can of cola or similar drinks can be also cut with any scissors, but is is stronger than the other two i mentioned, so it may not be the best for those stripes. but you have some waiting to be used at home for sure. just be careful with your fingers, this stuff can be quite sharp 😉

If you have any masking tape in works well as straps if you cut narrow strips.

And ill look out for them Martin. Ill just be at my local model store, looking around. Then i faintly see "plastic made in italy" written somewhere on a tamiya warbid collection kit. My skin turns pale, i let out a blood curling scream and run for my life. Never to go back there again.

Surprisingly i was also scared to build battle ships but it isnt thay hard honestly so you should try it, its a lot of fun

Doing a Google image search for 'T-90A engine' it looks like some of them are pale blue on top of the engine and I assume you probably won't be able see anything more than the top when the engine is in place.

That one is suitable for pe as well.
Be prepared for some frustration. The first time working with pe can be very hard. Cutting the pieces goes very well with an older knife and the piece on something firm, like an old cd. Sand or file the little nibs after cutting and be careful, edges can be sharp.

You might find superglue gel easier to work with than the liquid, you can pick it up in most hardware shops very cheaply.
I'd advise you to wear something to protect your eyes if you are cutting PE. Small shards can fly off and you really don't want those in your eyes.
